What about time travelling?

If hyper speed travel as stated above would work, we would have at the same time a unit for time travel to the future and the past.

If the impulse on the torus surface would be imposed with us being at the very same point where it is created, we would be first teleported to the future, and second teleported to the past with the elastic response of the the torus surface.
To make time travel technicaly possible we would of course need to create a special suit or device that protects us from being vaporized by the huge amount of energy spent on us. But this is a different issue.
Creating two impulses next to each other with a high enough frequency, and phase shifted at 180 degrees, with our suit synchronized to it, we would be able to stay at any point of time in future or past at this certain point in space as long as we like.

On the bottom are two or more oscillations, generated by our time travel generator phase shifted at 180 or less degrees (if more than two), and our Voyager carries a “spacesuit” that is shaking synchronously with the two or more oscillations left and right. The trembling of the suit makes it possible to change the “ground” keeping our man at a certain point in time without changing through time with the oscillating torus skin.
